Azure Virtual Network (VNet) is a cloud-based networking service provided by Microsoft Azure that enables you to create and manage virtual private networks (VPNs) in the cloud. With Azure VNet, you can securely connect your Azure resources and on-premises resources to each other over the internet or create a private network between them.

Why we use Virtual Network?

Virtual networks (VNets) are used for a variety of reasons in cloud computing, including:

  1. Security: Virtual networks allow you to isolate your resources and protect them from external threats by creating a secure, private network in the cloud.

  1. Connectivity: Virtual networks enable you to connect your resources, such as virtual machines, to each other and to on-premises resources over a secure connection.

  1. Customization: Virtual networks allow you to customize your network architecture to suit your specific requirements, including setting up subnets, defining IP addresses, and routing traffic.

  1. Scalability: Virtual networks can be scaled up or down to meet the changing demands of your applications and workloads.

  1. Cost savings: Virtual networks can help you save costs by optimizing network traffic and reducing the need for physical hardware.

  1. Compliance: Virtual networks can help you comply with regulatory requirements by providing a secure and compliant network environment.
